Are you a CPA in one of the Big Four firms who is currently working in tax, audit, accounting or assurance who wants to move out of public accounting before the new season begins?

To qualify and be considered, you must be a CPA currently working at one of the Big Four firms within tax, audit or assurance with 3-5 years of experience servicing private equity, venture capital, hedge fund or asset management clients.

In terms of work life balance, this firm has brought hours down over recent years. Most people work 8:30am-6:00pm, but there are times at quarter end where working overtime is needed. Currently the firm is four days in the office and one day at home. The organization has added additional staff in recent years and spent considerable money on new systems to automate, so quality of life is certainly a priority within this organization. They are very supportive of people having an outside life and commitments.
$90,000-$105,000 base salary (potentially higher depending on experience and qualifications), 20% bonus and 100% of all health/medical benefits paid for by the firm!
Finance Associate: Fund Group in Private Equity/Venture Capital Firm
This role presents a great opportunity to join a high-performing and collaborative team. As a critical member of the Finance Team, you will be responsible for matters related to entities of the firm's private equity, hedge and credit related funds. Specifically, responsibilities would include:
- Responsible for all accounting, reporting (financial and tax) and treasury functions for a select group of fund entities
- Calculation and tracking capital calls and distributions
- Assist with the preparation of year-end financial statements for a select group of fund entities
- Preparation of carry and profit allocations for funds
- Working with other groups within Finance to determine the appropriate treatment and understanding of matters
- Cash/investment monitoring and reconciliation with bank
- Ad hoc financial projects within Finance Team
Skills:
- Professional individual with solid communication skills and energetic attitude
- A focus on continuous improvement
- Ability to prioritize several tasks at one time and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to interact with Senior Management
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
Education and/or relevant:
- 3-5+ years Big Four public accounting experience required
- CPA required
- Strong GAAP financial reporting experience
- Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Bachelors in Accounting or other relevant field
