General Overview

As a member of the Mass General Brigham Human Resouces Technology Support team, under supervision of the HR Manager, this position provides analytical and technical support to our extended HR community as well as end user support. Specific job responsibilities include systems and business analysis, documenting business processes, end user support and ongoing system maintenance. The incumbent will serve as liaison between the HR Operational Program Managers and other departments to provide metrics that are aligned with the business goals and objectives.

They will also perform data auditing, modeling and metric analysis using multiple data sources to provide data needed for business decision making. The incumbent will be expected to identify issues/problems and offer resolutions for current business procedures. The HR Analyst will report directly to the Manager of Technology Support and will be cross- trained to provide back-up coverage, as necessary.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Create complex queries and distribute reports that meet business needs of departments at the hospital and across Partners.
• Provide workforce data for surveys and events within hospital (i.e. - patient safety, Service Awards, etc.)
• Build, run, and distribute reports for multiple customers;
• Create and maintain workforce analytics and dashboards to support business needs and advise business decisions within HR and at the hospital.
• Regularly report on data within the HR dashboards and trends found within department data to inform HR leadership decisions.

Qualifications
Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree Required, preferably with a concentration in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or related field.
• 2-3 years experience required, preferably in a Human Resources, Healthcare, or related setting.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools, such as Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or others preferred.
• Previous experience with PeopleSoft strongly preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of PC applications, e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• A combination of education and experience may be substituted for requirements.

Skills, Abilities and Competencies

• Possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross functional teams including staff at all levels of the organization
• Ability to successfully negotiate and collaborate with others of different skill sets, backgrounds an levels within and external to the organization
• Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
• Ability to effectively conduct meetings, both formal and informal
• Requires minimal direction from leadership and possesses the ability to learn quickly
• PeopleSoft/Oracle or large complex relational database experience required.
• SQL, store procedures, VB and/or ASP .net experience is preferred.
• Advance user of Microsoft Office products such as MS Access, Excel, Powerpoint, Publisher etc...
• Excellent communication abilities - written, verbal and public speaking.
• Experience in handling high volume, multiple tasks and a wide range of customers.
• Ability to manage sensitive situations.
• Basic General Accounting knowledge
