Our client is a top telecommunications provider, serving customers around the globe. They deliver innovative IoT solutions including cloud, voice, data, and more. They are hiring a IoT Business Development Director to sell the company's robust portfolio of IoT solutions within vertical markets.


The IoT Business Development Director is an IoT expert who contributes sales and business development expertise into potential projects, client acquisition, and deal closing. This individual will be responsible for leading the IoT sales team, managing existing IoT relationships, and recruiting new partnerships to drive direct sales in their region.

Focus:

  • Manage existing IoT connections and cultivate high-level account relationships, acting as sales expert and mentoring different channels.
  • Conduct aggressive prospecting in high-growth markets.
  • Identify new prospects whose business needs align with product offerings and develop compelling use cases. Understand customer expectations and negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Close leads and opportunities for their IoT innovative solutions.
  • Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quota objectives, driving revenue and acting as a lead generator in business development.
  • Create proposals, track metrics, and provide project estimates for leadership and other teams.
  • Participate in technical discussions and exchanges regarding product developments, next generation developments and roadmaps.
  • Develop and convert sales leads through inbound and outbound calls within a thriving sales territory.
  • Track sales productivity via account mapping, call planning and CRM tools.


Skills:

  • 10+ years of sales leadership experience with a focus on IoT.
  • 5+ years of experience with solution-based selling.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Strong experience with sales and marketing within IoT markets.
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales quotas.
  • Experience successfully leading remote teams.
  • Must be highly motivated and possess a hunter-mentality.
  • Able to travel.
