Job description

Position Summary:
The Manager, Corporate Strategy and Development will work with other members of the Corporate Strategy team and Executive Committee to support the execution of Cabot's corporate strategy goals and global M&A agenda. The position is also the key financial leader for the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to evaluate and report on financial deliverables of different projects, supporting the TMO Director.

Job Responsibilities:
• Support the Directors of Corporate Strategy to execute Cabot's M&A agenda
• Work in close collaboration with global business teams and lead M&A project management;, coordinating due diligence, participating negotiations, integration planning and execution, and presenting the case to senior leadership for approval
• Provide financial and analytical support to evaluate potential M&A targets and provide recommendations as to the financial attractiveness of various investments
• (Lead and manage) the development of a robust M&A pipeline in collaboration with the business strategy leads that aligns with our corporate strategic imperatives
• Build internal relationships to drive alignment on M&A processes, M&A priorities and other critical execution-related topics with stakeholders across corporate and regional functions
• Manage financial targeting and tracking for our Transformation Management Office (TMO) for projects within the portfolio of the TMO
• Support the TMO Director in reporting on the portfolio of projects as well as assessing new projects
• Work with project leaders of transformation projects to evaluate opportunities and report on progress against TMO goals
• Provide financial and analytical support to corporate projects
• Provide comparable peer company analysis to support corporate strategy and investor relations

Requirements:
• Expert knowledge of financial principles and their applications in a business setting.
• Ability to create financial models and business case scenarios
• Analytical and research skills and ability to review and interpret large amounts of data and provide insight regarding observable trends.
• Ability to make decisions and take initiative in the absence of perfect information and to respond to issues quickly and effectively
• Lead cross-functional projects
• Ability to build trust and gain support of personnel across organization.
• Ability to collaborate and provide guidance to various teams within Cabot

• Demonstrates a strong command of verbal, written and presentation skills that ensure effective information delivery to all stakeholders
• Ensures all strategic business decisions are informed by thorough analysis and external perspectives

• University degree in Business discipline/Accounting/Finance/Economics required; MBA preferred.
• 8-10 years of experience in financial profession; Track record of managing cross-functional projects
• Experience in a manufacturing or industrial organization in a finance capacity preferred
