Tetra Tech's commitment to hiring the best talent in the industry and helping them thrive professionally is stronger than ever. We are currently seeking a motivated Submarine Cable and/or Offshore Wind Energy Project Manager / Senior Scientist.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with a, technical background with offshore project experience, project management skills, and a clear ability to manage client relationships, both internally and externally. Experience managing major projects with complex project teams is preferred. Experience with marine geophysics, offshore ecology, NEPA/Federal and state permitting, offshore wind, power generation, subsea transmission, energy infrastructure, and/or renewable energy is desired. The ideal candidate will be adept at technical problem solving, with the ability to tackle complex and/or multi-disciplinary tasks to identify and optimize workflows and manage sub-tasks to achieve unique project goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage aggressive timelines for large, complex projects being planned in offshore and coastal settings.
  • Review and understand project milestones, address critical issues and risks and be able to effectively communicate with a wide variety of audiences.
  • Proactively evaluate risk associated with project strategies, project changes and regulatory agency interactions.
  • Capitalize on existing client relationships to capture additional opportunities for marine/coastal projects.


Requirements:
  • BS in a Physical or Earth Science, or related field (e.g., Marine or Coastal Science, Geology, Oceanography, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, or Engineering or related fields)
  • 5 -10 years of professional experience with a pattern of progressive achievements.
  • Strong technical background especially in a marine/coastal/offshore setting.
  • Demonstrated success leveraging project management skills, especially leading teams in diverse geographic locations and across multiple skillsets or specializations.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills required along with public presentation skills required.
  • Applied knowledge of offshore biological, physical, and cultural resources important.
  • Strong capability in ArcGIS.


Preferred Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a marine science, engineering or related background preferred.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Business Development experience.
