Job description

The Paralegal assists and supports departments and/or designated clients, regulators, outside attorneys and customers. S/he are new paralegals employed in a professional capacity, working under the close supervision of an attorney, administrative manager or a supervisory paralegal. Assist Corporate Shared Services Contracts legal team as necessary, with the review and drafting of contracts, legal forms and memos Review, draft and negotiate various contracts and non-material agreements, including, amendments and non-disclosure agreements under the supervision of in-house counsel Manage contracts; participate in teleconferences Prepare vendor termination letters Review and analyze contracts files; conduct legal research Maintain and update contracts training materials Act as a liaison between internal business partners, in-house counsel and outside counsel Support the Corporate Shared Services Contracts legal team and provide exceptional legal services to internal business units by responding to routine matters and questions in a timely manner Monitor and track contracts; enter status of contracts in various status report databases Provide administrative support and prepare legal correspondence or other documents as needed At Santander, we value and respect differences in our workforce and strive to increase the diversity of our teams. Bachelor's Degree Preferred License/Certificates: Paralegal Certification Preferred 3-5 years paralegal experience with a law firm or corporate legal department handling contract matters with a particular focus on technology, intellectual property and professional services. Experience handling third party service provider agreements preferred Experience in financial services industry preferred Experience with legal tracking systems preferred Ability to define problems, consolidate relevant information, establish facts, and draw and defend valid conclusions Ability to read and apply laws and governmental regulations with support of in-house counsel Ability to work independently on matters within purview of the position Strong PC skills, particularly MS Office Suite of applications Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and administrative skills Knowledge of Ariba a plus Primary Location:Boston, Massachusetts, United StatesOther Locations:Massachusetts-BostonOrganization:Santander Bank, N.A.AN EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER M/F/Vet/Disabled/SO
