Sales Development Specialist -
Cheminformatics
Location: Remote - US East Coast
Responsibilities:
The primary responsibilities of the Sales Development Specialist are to drive sales for Cheminformatics
products by:
Education/Experience/Technical Knowledge:
Qualifying new leads obtained from the corporate sales team, digital marketing, social media,
webinars, scientific conferences, industry forums, and assigning the leads to the appropriate
cheminformatics team member in SFDC.
1)
Prospecting to identify new sales potential within our current markets using various online
search techniques, databases, and social media.
2)
Providing responsive customer service to inbound general questions, special requests, and
complaints, through telephone, email, and other online communications tools.
3)
Gathering customer feedback on cheminformatics products, services, or policies, records this
information in SFDC, and communicates internally as appropriate.
4)
Assisting the commercial team to ensure timely processing of sales quotes, orders, and contract
renewals.
5)
Coordinating and responding to internal inquiries about cheminformatics 6) products.
Entering relevant customer call reports, contact, and engagement data into SFDC. Maintains an
up-to-date customer contact list within SFDC.
7)
1) Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related science.
2) 1-2 years of relevant experience dealing with people in a sales or customer facing role.
3) Proficiency with MS Office, Salesforce, SciFinder experience a plus.
4) Strong customer interaction and communication skills - written and oral.
5) Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
6) Self-motivated and ability to work independently.
