Job description

Sirnaomics, Inc. is a leading clinical stage biopharmaceutical company in the discovery and development of RNAi therapeutics for treatment of cancer and fibrotic diseases. We are seeking candidates to fill the newly created position of Business Development Director/Sr. Director to operate out of our Boston, MA area facility, or in a local remote location.

The successful candidate will identify opportunities for corporate growth via acquisition, licensing, or partnering/alliance building, that support and deliver against corporate strategy. Reporting to the CTO, this person will create and lead execution of a detailed and comprehensive vision, strategy, and implementation roadmap for Business Development, to include such activities as in-licensing, out-licensing, and alliance building; undertake scientific assessment, market analysis, competitive landscape, IP diligence, financial analysis, and assessment of commercial potential; conduct field research regarding potential market forces and possible partners and fusion companies, keeping abreast of current market situations and other factors, which may affect the overall business climate, and reporting same to the CTO and Senior Management team; participate in the negotiating and closing of complex deals in line with our business and corporate development objectives, and; identify potential/relevant strategic priorities for the business and lead/partner evaluations to address evolving organizational needs and to capitalize on future commercial opportunities;

To be considered for this position, the well qualified candidate will have an advanced degree (preferably a PhD or MD) in Biochemistry/Molecular Biology and (preferably) a Business degree (BS, BS, MBA) with deal making experience in biotech/pharma focusing on therapeutic platform and product in- and out-licensing {a minimum of five (for Director) or seven (for Sr. Director). This person will also have demonstrated experience in in- and out-licensing deal identification, negotiation, and closure; experience in competence in valuation methodologies and structuring term sheets and contracts, and demonstrated experience negotiating, implementing and managing licensing and alliance agreements within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.

Pay: $65,889.00 - $191,743.00 per year
