Job Description
- Organize analytical data from external vendors
- Develop and execute assays for the analysis of samples using chromatography and compendial methods
- Develop expertise to serve as a backup executor of a limited number of other analysis
- Analytical HPLC and GC method development for small molecule analysis
- Execute testing of assigned analysis type (specific test methods) for routine sample submissions (LIMs)
- Execute testing of assigned analysis type (specific test methods) for routine sample submissions. Install test methods on equipment in CPD labs. Identify and help to resolve equipment and basic test method issues - expertise in Chem Station and Empower
- Shipping of samples to vendor sites/storage facilities including weighing out samples filling out shipping documentation, liaison with shipping compliance group
- Generate complete, accurate, and concise documentation using electronic systems and laboratory notebook
- Perform general laboratory housekeeping activities
- Complete training on assigned tasks
- Participate in quality improvement efforts
- Strive to achieve excellent client service
- Comply with safety guidelines and site specific procedures which include but is not limited to, the maintenance of training records, laboratory documentation, written procedures, building monitoring systems and laboratory log books
Qualifications
- B.S. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmaceutical, or other biological/analytical discipline with 2-5 years' experience, or Master's degreewith 1-2 years' experience
- Excellent hands-on experimental and software skills required
- Experience within an academic/pharmaceutical/biotechnology organization preferred
- Prior knowledge and experience with method development related to small molecules; HPLC, GC, GC-MS, ICP-MS, KF, and UV/vis spectroscopy
- Experience with operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment and instrumentation related to analytical testing
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with internal and external clients, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, follow instructions, and comply with company policies
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
