Position Overview:
Reporting to the Head of Human Resources Sanofi Genzyme - Specialty Care and based in Cambridge, the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) position will partner with Commercial and Medical Teams providing a full range of HR services to US-based client groups and will act as a key driver of the people strategy.
The HRBP will build and sustain relationships with these dynamic client groups, to effectively influence analysis and decision-making in the areas of leadership, talent management & development, succession planning, change management, work force planning, organization development & design, performance management, employee engagement, and to collaborate with the US and global HR team members as well as with the HR Center of Expertise to diagnose, develop and deliver solutions to support the client groups.
As part of the Sanofi Genzyme - Specialty Care, the HRBP will develop and deliver solutions to support his/her client groups and collaborate, as needed, with other US and global HR team members and Sanofi HR Centers of Expertise. The person in this role should have a strong business acumen and operational excellence focus with proven ability to align business needs with HR solutions and support to move the business forward in a dynamic environment.
Main Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as an HR partner, change agent and implementation advisor in order to support the leaders and managers in translating the business strategy into an executable People agenda as well as translating the vision into sustainable new behaviors
- Guide and influence leaders to align manager and employee capabilities to the mid-to-long-term business needs and to drive significant cultural change and employee engagement
- Provide thought leadership and guidance to managers on all organizational design and organization development matters (e.g. reorganizations, building organization capability, strategic workforce planning, etc.)
- Coach and advise the managers on the effectiveness of their leadership teams, various strategic business matters, talent topics and general HR issues
- Should have strong business acumen with proven ability to align business needs with HR solutions to move the business forward in a dynamic environment and must be able to embody and effectively demonstrate the Sanofi LEAD behavioral competencies of developing people - self and others, acting for change, and cooperating transversally.
- Must be able to relate well to all levels of the organization, demonstrate interpersonal awareness to effectively build and sustain strong client partnerships with trust and credibility and will have a demonstrated track record of effective influencing and coaching, teamwork, organizational design and restructuring and leadership skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a sense of drive and urgency, balancing multiple priorities simultaneously. An excellent reasoning and problem-solving and conflict resolution skills, as well as an effective project management skills and organization and communication skills are required.
Basic Qualifications:
- The position requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years Human Resources or relevant business experience or a Master's degree and five years of progressive Human Resources experience or relevant business experience
- Solid working knowledge of core areas of HR including Talent Management, Talent Acquisition, and Compensation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in Biopharmaceutical or related industry
- PHR or SPHR certification
- Master's degree in HR or related field
- Experience working in a global mid-size to large company in a highly matrixed environment
- HR systems (Workday) and Excel experience
