Job description

Spruce is looking for a new member of our IS team that has a moderate to high level of proficiency in SQL and data analytics as well as the ability to understand business process and our ERP system (Epicor ERP). This position will be the first level of support for all Epicor users within the company and responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues. The Business Systems Analyst will also work on projects that require the analysis of our business processes and development of specifications and project plans for Epicor and other business process enhancements.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide first level of support for company-wide Epicor issues.

• Act as liaison between Spruce employees and Epicor support to troubleshoot and resolve

issues.

• Develop SQL Queries, Dashboards and Reports using SQL Server and built-in Query development tools within Epicor ERP.

• Perform data validation on existing reports and troubleshoot issues that arise.

• Develop documentation such as functional specifications, SOPs and DFDs based on requirements across all departments.

• Develop reports based on SQL Server (Such as SSRS).

• Participate in projects to further enhance our existing and new information systems.

• Assist with training employees on usage of Spruce's information systems.

Specific Skills:

• Moderate to high level of SQL and database design/development. Ability to develop SQL queries and procedures, create custom reports, and modify ERP user forms to enhance organizational productivity.

• Basic understanding of ERP systems and quote to cash business life cycle is a plus.

• Must be willing and able to learn end user ERP functions (i.e order entry, invoice entry, shipping transactions) in order to better troubleshoot the ERP workflow within the company.

• Familiarity with reporting tools such as SSRS, Crystal Reports or similar tools.

• Must be able to work with all departments to gather and translate requirements, and propose solutions.

• Ability to develop key business documentation including functional specifications, project plans, data flow diagrams and standard operating procedures.

• Must be willing and able to work with all departments and employees and document functional specifications and SOPs.

• Moderate to High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

• Moderate to High level of documentation skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with all levels of management and employees.

Education/Experience Required:

Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Network Administration, Information

Technology, Management Information Systems or a related field. 3+ years of experience in field or

related area.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Spruce is not interested in sponsoring or extending work visas for this position.
