Job description
Summary:
In collaboration with the Talent Management team, conducts a broad range of recruiting tasks to meet the Bank's critical staffing needs including sourcing, recruiting, and onboarding functions to align candidates with appropriate career opportunities.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:
* Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting qualified candidates to meet the Bank's staffing needs.
* Conducts intake meeting with hiring managers to review the recruitment process, identifies competency-based interview questions, and determine appropriate recruitment strategy to identify qualified candidates.
* Builds applicant sources by researching various job boards, local community services, colleges, employment agencies, media, and internet sites.
* Participates in job fairs to provide organization information, and information regarding open positions and employer benefits.
* Works with hiring managers to create and update job descriptions by conducting appropriate research.
* Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements and utilizing various job boards and media outlets.
* Determines applicant qualifications, interviews applicants, completes interview feedback form, verifies references and reviews feedback with hiring managers.
* Arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules; arranging travel, lodging, and meals, and escorting applicant to interviews when necessary.
* Improves organization attractiveness by and emphasizing benefits and perks.
* Prepares pay recommendations, offer letters, and extends offers to final candidates.
* Completes the new hire onboarding process, including new hire appointment and form completion.
* Supports the Bank's intern program by attending job fairs, conducting interviews, extending offers, assisting with onboarding, and advising managers on training and coaching.
* Assists the Talent Management Team with all aspects of Applicant Tracking System administration, including candidate management, job opportunities, onboarding portal, etc.
* Avoids legal challenges by understanding current legislation and enforcing regulations with managers. Remains up to date on employment/recruitment laws and regulations.
* Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
* Assists the Talent Management team with various projects and reporting as needed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree required in related field of study.
* PHR Certification preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
* Minimum 2 years of experience recruiting in a relevant industry environment, preferably banking.
* Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience required.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills. Proven ability to interact with all levels of employees and management.
* Knowledge of employment laws and regulatory compliance requirements.
* Advanced computer skills, with a focus on social media, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
