Job description

Our fast-paced environment requires real-time data insights to drive business decisions, and this role is a key component of that capability. We are looking for a Business Analyst to work with the business to understand their needs and then guide them through an iterative development process. Additionally, you will be supporting programs that bring maturity to our company's analytics.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Business Analysis

• Requirements gathering

• Verification and validation testing

• Change management process

• Review requirements and test cases/plans developed by junior BAs

• Program Management

• Development schedule, budget, risk management

• Frequent overcommunication to business on status

• Process Maturity programs

• Data governance and data integrity

• Master Data Management

• Process mapping and improvement

• Scaling Programs

• BI tool training curriculum and competence testing

• Data literacy training

• Published metrics on the usage and impact of Analytics

• Internal BI user group summits

• Analytics newsletters

Attributes and Skills:

• Possess a strong business acumen across a wide range of departments

• Familiarity with managing offshore development teams

• Ability to juggle multiple projects at once, last minute requests and quick turnarounds

• Strong detail orientation with proven ability to work quickly and accurately

• Good written and oral communication in French and English

• Willingness to challenge the way reporting & analysis consistently and aggressively has been done in the past to uncover new & improved ways of operating

• Must thrive in a fluid and changing environment

• Ability to thrive on close collaboration across departments and organizational levels.

• Strong skills and emotional intelligence to be a trusted partner with the business stakeholders.

• Must be authorized to work in the U.S without requiring sponsorship now or in the future

Day to Day Activities

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, mathematics, accounting or related

• 3-5 years of experience working with internal or external clients on development and process improvement programs

• 1-3 years in IT BA/PM role - preferably in business intelligence / data roles

• Experience with business intelligence tools - DOMO & Qlikview a heavily weighted positive
