Job description
1.Coordinate bus rider registration process.
2.Work cooperatively with the Director of Business & Finance, Transportation Company, and Building Administrators to design routes for maximum efficiency.
3.Organize and coordinate the management of a fee-based rider system. Manage the collection of fees.
4.Communicate with families and the transportation company to ensure proper registration and information is exchanged.
5.Working with the special education department and/or school administrators, assist in the coordination of in district special education and 504 transportation.
6.Manage the ridership of each vehicle for available seating and logistical stops.
7.Create bus passes for each rider. Communicate the logistics of the bus pass system with the transportation company, families, and building administrators. Prepare replacement bus tags. Register new students for the bus as appropriate.
8.Field bus complaints. Utilize the bus video platform for administrators.
9.Coordinate out of district transportation, including transportation to special education placements, McKinney Vento transportation, and foster transportation.
10.Support all in-house transportation services, including any district-owned transportation vehicles and district employed drivers.
11.Work with the Director of Facilities to oversee the maintenance and upkeep of district-owned transportation vehicles.
12.Coordinate substitute coverage for district employed van drivers, and cover for runs if needed if a substitute cannot be secured.
13.Serve as a Central Office receptionist and assist all visitors.
14.Perform other accounts receivable duties, including the billing and tracking of pre-school tuition.
15.Perform additional duties as requested by the Superintendent or the Director of Business & Finance.

Job Requirements
- 1.Must have a working knowledge of transportation planning, preferably in a school setting. Experience in building bus routes based upon data reports is beneficial.
2.Must have excellent communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service skills, and conflict resolution skills. Must have a proven ability to work with a broad range of people, including the transportation company, families, administrators, and district staff.
3.Must be organized, self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently.
4.Must be able to organize and orchestrate transportation registration and use an online record keeping system. Must feel comfortable with technology to navigate the bus route software program and must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Suite, including Google Sheets and Excel.
5.Within 90 days of hire, obtain a school pupil transport (7D) driver's certificate. - Citizenship, residency or work visa required
