Who we are looking for
This role will provide the necessary thought leadership for the strategy and architecture of data and data initiatives for the State Street Enterprise. We are looking for good collaborators that can work across teams to deliver a cohesive data strategy that can be a central part of State Street's core technical foundation.
What you will be responsible for
As Technical Data Architect you will
- Define a data architecture blueprint that utilizes available & emerging technologies, standards, techniques and systems for efficiently running the data lifecycle & data governance for multi-country roll-outs
- Define architectural principles, IT standards and ensure compliance with them. Continuously improve the Data architecture plans.
- Participate and lead the designing of methods and processes for a sustainable enterprise data architectures & data governance strategy, prepare decision documents and decision templates as required.
- Champion data domain solution architecture to design strategic target state data & technology architectures for the application and technology areas.
- Work towards Improving the architecture by tracking emerging technologies; evaluating their applicability to business goals and operational requirements.
- Lead or direct others, seen as a subject matter expert, may mentor or provide expert guidance as needed
- Provide senior level support or guidance to technical support team and Product Development teams as needed
- Provide vision, problem anticipation, and problem-solving ability to customer
What we value
These skills will help you succeed in this role
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Data solution Architectures on-premises and in cloud ecosystems
- 5+ years' experience working on one or more data governance platforms like IGC, informatica, collibra, Allation, Manta etc.
- 5+ years hands-on experience with reference technologies in data architecture such as snowflake, databricks, RDBMS transactional databases, MPP datawarehouse, object storage.
- 3+ Experience is must in hands on Programming one or more technologies : Oracle PL/SQL, data modelling, XML/Jason, Java, UNIX Shell scripting, Python, ETL - like IBM Infosphere DataStage, MQ/kafka messaging
- 3+ Experience with DataOps tools and technology setup using current standards.
- 3+ Experience BI, Data science and Analytics tools packages current in-use and up to date with upcoming trends.
- 3+ years of experience with methods for the design, planning and implementation of enterprise architectures (EA), preferably according to international standards such as TOGAF, Zachman, DCAM, FIBO etc.
- Experience in Estimation and Proof Of Concept for New Technical area
- Should have rich experience in providing technical guidance to Leads and perform technical Reviews
- Should have strong client management and interaction experience with Senior Management
- Strong communication skills, combined with an entrepreneurial, creative, and innovative mindset, self-motivated with the ability to drive new initiatives
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Software development, cloud computing or in a relevant field
Additional requirements
Prior work experience in a financial company is a plus.
