Job description
Description The HR/Payroll specialist will be responsible for handling the following.
HR administration:
The HR coordinator will maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records, keep accurate and up-to-date employee records, ensure completion and accuracy of all employee information e.g. contact information, job classification, pay rates and other key details.
Assist with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties
Ensure completion, accuracy, and entry of all new hire paperwork
Assume responsibility for the maintenance of HR records and ensure compliance with HR recordkeeping regulations and best practice.
Assist with all administrative work for the HR department.
Coordinate communication with candidates and schedule interviews.
Conduct initial orientation and assist with onboarding with new hires.
Work with CHRO in tracking training and development for employees.
Participates in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
Payroll:
Process payroll for all employees using ADP Workforce Now. This includes, but is not limited to, all functions required to set up employees in ADP, rate changes, wage garnishments, employment verifications, PTO tracking.
Update and maintain payroll related employee file information in ADP Workforce Now with supporting documentation.
Work with employees and managers to ensure timecards are completed and approved.
Ensure accurate payroll records by updating status changes, benefit deductions, tax withholdings, garnishments, child support orders, any other involuntary deductions for appropriate deduction and payment
Address employee concerns regarding hours worked, pay rates, taxes, garnishments, paycheck and time off accrual.
Run and export Payroll reports such as General Ledger and the 401k Management report
Build and Run Custom reports from ADP Workforce Now as needed
Maintain confidentiality of payroll data and payroll operations
Benefits administration:
Provide benefits administration for programs including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, long-term disability, 401(k) savings plan, flexible spending accounts, health savings accounts, voluntary benefits and tuition reimbursement
Assist with the administration of employee benefits and COBRA, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers.
