This requires us to deliver on our promises and always look for new opportunities to grow, both ourselves and our business.Job PurposeResponsible forUS Group FunctionsIT performance management,includingstrategicprojects,portfolio management,andworkingacross the Group Functions IT leadership team to ensure goals and objectives are met.Reporting to theUS Group Functions (US GF)CIO and membersof theUS GFIT leadership team.In support of the Chief Information Officer (CIO), provides leadership and guidance in critical areas of technology administration, including budgeting, resource development and allocation, policy formation, technology evaluation, and service development, delivery, and deployment.Provide assistance to the CIO in managing business operations to improve cost effectiveness, service quality, and IT operational effectiveness.To drive and facilitate, on behalf of theUS GFCIO, the processes andorganizationbehind business planning, performance management, communications and cross-directorate initiatives and projects. To provide general support to theUS GFCIO in the fulfilment of executive duties.Key AccountabilitiesAssist CIO in leading overallUS GFIT strategic planning to achieve business goals by prioritizing information technology initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future technology initiatives.Assist in governance oversight, project and portfolio management, and service delivery management.Coordinate and produce global CIO Monthly Operational and Quarterly Business ReportsSpearhead annual and quarterly budgeting and forecasting processesIdentify opportunities for performance improvement across the organizationWork with CIOs and their Planning & Performance leads to formalize and automate the KPI tracking processFacilitate and drive cross functional process working group sessions to identify process improvement opportunities.Support business strategic decisions by providing meaningful and accurate data analysis about demand and workforce needsFacilitate and support the process performance sections of the monthly process review meetingsSupport departmental staffingplans and ensure alignment with annual targetsReview and monitor Plans vs Actual while tracking, managing and reporting out KPIsDevelop andanalyzea comprehensive set of leading and lagging cross functional key performance indicators (KPI) in support of strategic and operational process performance.Build strong relationships with business groups and their leaders across the enterprise, and develop a detailed understanding of their issues, challenges and opportunities.Ensure transparency and collaboration between the IT organization and its business partners.Supervisory/Interpersonal- Experience RequiredPossesses exceptional business acumen, analytical and problem-solving abilities.Excellent negotiating skills with internal customers and external service providers.Comfortable with ambiguity; can handle the unexpected with flexibility.Accuracy and attention to detail required.A team player who favors collaborative approaches when working with internal and external partners.Proven ability to build trust with others through a commitment to the highest ethical and professional standards.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field10+ years in progressive leadership roles and significant experience in leading portfolios of multiple programs.Influential, energetic and enthusiastic process improvement leader, with the drive, ambition and resilienceto make things happen and deliver outstanding performance.Proven experience at influencing senior executives of the organization.Experience with financial reporting and planningAbility to balance meeting immediate needs while transforming an organisation to new and consistent ways of workingAbility to work well within matrix organizations and have a successful track record of implementing significant changeHigh resilience and stamina, comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentCollaborative and strong team playerInspiring leader who leads by example, builds high integrity within the team, and champions a strong commitment to National Grid's values and visionFamiliarity with industry best practice solutions (agile delivery, SOA, risk issue management,etc)Experience with organizational change/transformation.Can display experience starting and finishing with the customer in mind, with a strong accountability for delivering on commitments, while possessing the ability to navigate quickly through complexity.More InformationNational Grid is an equal opportunity employer that values a broad diversity of talent, knowledge, experience and expertise.
