YOUR ROLE

Company is seeking high performing and energetic candidates for a full-time Head of Business Development Role. The Head of Business Development is a key member of the firm's executive leadership team and is responsible for leading the inorganic growth efforts of the firm to achieve its revenue and profitability growth targets. The candidate will also be directly responsible for leading, developing and mentoring a team of Account Managers and key stakeholders.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • High motor opportunistic business athlete
  • Lead the sales organization's BD and Account team in achieving sales goals, while fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, high-performance, and ethical behavior
  • Deliver on assigned targets for client acquisition, revenue, profitability, market penetration, and other key performance objectives
  • Accountable for effective organizational design including job roles, compensation structures, sales channel design, and resource allocation
  • Continually assess the effectiveness of the organization, champion change initiatives, and remove obstacles to change, resulting in higher organizational performance
  • Aggressively develop the sales talent through learning and development initiatives, performance management frameworks and metrics, and ensuring all associates are held accountable for results
  • Actively participate in business unit strategic planning, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Executive sponsor for key strategic relationships ensuring sales excellence and a world-class brand.
  • Maintain accurate business projections and provide forecast and pipeline reports on business development status to create sustainable growth as required by company leadership.
  • Manage contract negotiation and work with legal counsel as required.
  • Work to establish personal relationships with industry customers at all levels; establish a company presence in industry forums/events and develop high level relationships with industry vendor partners

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years leading a direct and channel sales organization while consistently beating targets
  • High motor opportunistic business athlete with a proven sales track record
  • Data-driven mindset with a strong focus on sales process and leading indicators
  • Proven ability to achieve results in dynamic environments
  • Strong executive presence
  • Effective oral communication skills with ability to address individuals and groups in formal and informal settings
  • Versatile industry experience in Insurance and Healthcare
