For the US Director of National Grid Ventures (NGV) Media Relations this means the proactive development and delivery of a high-quality communications strategy to support execution of the NGV business strategy and protectrevenue, drive our growth and positively enhance NGV's reputation across the US.Key AccountabilitiesProactively build and deliver strategicmedia campaigns to protect and grow NGV businesses across the USDevelop and implement the overall key messages for the NGV US businessDevelop overall approach and delivery of written and digital media communications for NGVin the US, including:NGV press releases and other written contentNGV op-edsandby-linedarticlesNGV social media postsMultimedia content, such as videos and infographics NGV president external speeches NGV president social media postsIdentify and secure proactive media opportunities for the NGV President thatalign to NGV's strategy and campaign priorities, such as media engagements and speaking engagementsQualificationsExperienced media relations practitioner with a proven track record of working with the media, external stakeholders and others to deliver company key messages.Experience in aligning media relations with business and corporate affairs strategy.A clear understanding of the role of the US media in support of the execution of the business strategyA clear understanding of the role of executivecommunicationsinsupportofthe execution of business strategy.Strong writer and editor, with an ability to translate complex business materials into compelling content for a range of internal and externalaudiences across a range ofcommunications channelsKnowledge of media relationsbest practices, including strong working knowledge of corporate public relations,social media, digital communications, crisis communications, in ahigh-profile business context.Experience working with senior levels (i.e. C-suite) within a large, global, complex organization within a multi-stakeholder environment.Understanding of the clean energy sector, and relevant internal/external influences (NGOs, communities, media, agencies, industry bodies).Experience and knowledge of detailed media relations, and campaign delivery, execution and measurement, across multiple channels and audiences.More InformationThis position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across roles you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.Internal candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.National Grid is an equal opportunity employer that values a broad diversity of talent, knowledge, experience and expertise.
