The Work You'll Do:

We are looking for a highly motivated Systems Analyst, with a technical background, that is excited about building our data warehouse platform, with technologies like Snowflake, to leverage data within our solutions to enhance the value we deliver to our internal and external customers. This is a unique hybrid role at Sovos as it will have responsibilities between a Product Owner, in an agile sense, and a Product Manager, in the traditional sense, with equal emphasis.

You will be responsible for the one year product roadmap, execution of the entire product lifecycle, prioritizing work for your team and delivering the product for internal and external users. You will partner with the Director, Product Management for our Sales and Use Tax team, other business and technology leaders and business partners and external customers to capture requirements, define product strategy, and create a product roadmap.

Our data warehouse is a innovative product area that supports numerous Sovos solutions and this is a fantastic role to jump into as you will demonstrate your technical competency and represent the voice of the customer internally here at Sovos while creating the vision for future development.

More specifically you will:

* Define the product roadmap based on an intimate knowledge of customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility
* Prioritize product backlog for the scrum team, partner closely with engineers to groom, plan sprint, and implement new product capabilities
* Participate in Agile ceremonies e.g. daily scrum, sprint planning meetings, retros to contribute to the team tasks
* Provide clear feedback and clarify requirements to entering as the product is being built
* Set and manage expectations with internal and external stakeholders
* Coordinate testing of the product with stakeholders, including user acceptance testing, alpha and beta programs; collect, coordinate and prioritize bug fixes
* Create an environment that empowers and energize team members, with a focus on accountability, adaptability, and collaboration
* Provide reporting on system performance, feature usage and product specific KPIs

What We Need From You:

* Time working in a Systems role, particularly in an agile development environments
* Knowledge of SQL and experience with data modeling techniques for reporting/analytics
* Excitement to work with data and producing data insights that can influence future decisions
* Comfort level with data products, customer facing reporting, and/or business intelligence tooling
* Ability to problem solve to quickly generate and evaluate numerous solutions
* Complete comprehension of the "Product Owner" role and the ability to fulfill that role effectively
* Due to federal contracts, successful candidates will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
