Position Overview
We are seeking a Resource Management Business Analyst (RMBA) to assist with enterprise resource planning and reporting across the Information Services (IS) department. This position reports to the Director of IS Business Operations, but supports and will work with all project managers, managers, directors, and senior leaders within the IS department. The RMBA will assist with data entry, reporting capabilities, and process improvement to improve our ServiceNow ITBM maturity; Specifically, as it relates to allocating resources to project and operational work efforts and understanding resource capacity across all IS teams to better forecast timing of future project demands. The ideal candidate has experience using ServiceNow ITBM and significant experience with project resource planning and allocations across multiple teams in an IT setting.
Responsibilities
· Training and support for project managers, managers, and directors to create, allocate, and update resource plans against project and operational work types in ServiceNow.
· Data entry and administrative tasks associated with demand estimates; creation of initial project-based resource plans in ServiceNow; updating resource plans with named staff members prior to project start.
· Works with director to identify areas of opportunity and process improvements to the Resource Management Process and how the organization uses ServiceNow ITBM for resource management; assists with organizational change management including documentation, communication, and training for individual contributors, project managers, managers, and directors.
· Inventories and validates current resource management reports available in ServiceNow. Identifies gaps in existing reports (with resource management workgroup) and documents requirements for new reports and dashboards. Builds new reports in ServiceNow and works with ServiceNow development team to address gaps with data structure and/or reports which cannot be developed through self-service.
· Works with director to identify resource management KPI's and assists with creation of reports and/or documents requirements for reports and dashboards in ServiceNow.
· Training and support for project managers, managers, and directors to use resource management reports in ServiceNow to support understanding of team capacity and availability, and decision making for future project scheduling.
· Runs and distributes weekly and monthly resource/team reports to managers and directors. Helps to automate "push" of data and reports to management.
· Assists with reports for Project Management Office related to project slotting and scheduling.
Qualifications
· 3+ years of ServiceNow ITBM experience; other project/resource management systems experience will be considered
· 3+ years of IT project management or coordinator experience; preference for healthcare IT experience
· Strong data analytical skills and experience; understands PMO system tools, data structures, and ability to extract relevant data to answer business questions and report on KPI's
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Preference for experience training and supporting PMO staff and processes
· Preference for experience supporting organizational change management as it relates to tools and processes
· Preference for ITBM and PMP certifications
Working Location
· Minimum 1-2 days per week in the office; remainder work from home or in the office based on candidate preference
