Job description
As the Lab Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining biology lab equipment, records, and vendor relationships and training new hires on use of the IncuCyte® live-cell analysis system. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within and across teams.
What you will accomplish together with us:
* Process orders submitted and maintain stocks of general lab supplies across multiple lab user groups
* Maintain documentation of purchases for accounting check-ins
* Ensure adequate inventory and organization of lab cell banks
* Schedule and keep records of lab equipment calibrations and service
* Perform and organize regular lab cleanups
* Communicate effectively to maintain relationships with external supply and service vendors
* Lead training of new hires on IncuCyte assays and software
* Assist with coordinating Incucyte instrument testing, upgrades, and other collaborative efforts with the engineering team
* Other duties as assigned
What will convince us:
* Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Cell Biology or a related field
* 2+ years related work experience
* Previous lab management experience in an academic, biotech, or other biological lab setting
* Proficiency in cell-based assay techniques, including sterile cell culture
* Exceptional organizational and recordkeeping skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills to train incoming hires and foster a collaborative environment
* Effective written and oral communication skills, including ability to work with external vendors
* Familiarity with regulatory requirements and processes (e.g. EHS, ISO) highly desired
* Proficiency with the IncuCyte® and/or other cell imaging techniques a plus
