Job purpose

BorgWarner is currently looking for "dynamic, results driven" individual to join as an HR Manager at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC) in Auburn Hills, MI supporting the Drivetrain Systems (DTS) Business Unit.

The HR Manager is responsible for the DTS PTC employee groups and serves as a collaborative advisor for a global function on all people strategy related matters to help build and deliver on key business strategies.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to; employee relations, talent sourcing, development of policy/procedure implementation and compliance, learning and development, performance management and coaching. Facilitates a collaborative working environment and implements appropriate change management initiatives. Supports various projects and programs as needed. Reports to Drivetrain Systems HR Vice President.

Key responsibilities

* Responsible for providing comprehensive HR support for the DTS PTC employees throughout the employee life cycle.
* Leads talent management processes for customer group, including performance management, talent assessments and calibrations, succession planning, development planning and coaching.
* Ensures effective talent sourcing and recruitment strategies to meet the needs of the business using the appropriate mix of internal and external recruitment, effective co-op and internship programs with key university relations, and planning for development of internal talent.
* Works cross-BU to support building electrification capabilities, including but not limited to learning and development, talent acquisition, early talent development, and key role talent development.

* Provides key HR performance indicators and analysis as required.
* Recommends best practices and new approaches for policies and procedures to continually improve the efficiency of the Human Resources department and services performed.
* Responsible for the implementation of the BW Be Heard Culture Survey including communication to employees, conducting action planning sessions in partnership with Leadership and implementation of action plans.
* Support PTC special events and activities.
* Safety and Health - Responsible for completing required safety training, reporting and correcting any unsafe practices as appropriate, completing work activities in a safe manner, and complying with safety and health requirements for respective position.
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

What we're looking for

* Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline required.
* Minimum of 8 years' experience as a HR Business Partner
* Preferred experience includes working in an automotive environment supporting an engineering function preferably at global level.
* Someone with growth potential and ability to take on global responsibilities
* Experience working across different cultures and/or in different countries is desired.
* Demonstrated ability in a broad range of Human Resources functions, such as recruiting, performance management, employee relations, compensation etc.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects.
* Must be a team player with strong people skills; able to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
* Proactive, decisive, and able to work independently on a broad variety of subjects.
* Must demonstrate strong communication (verbal, written and non-verbal), listening, analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Energetic with a strong sense of urgency and accuracy.
