This Role in Summary

Whirlpool is seeking qualified candidates for an Employee Relations Analyst to join our Human Resources (HR) Operations Organization in Benton Harbor. This role is part of the Human Resources (HR) Operations team and partners with employees, people leaders, business Human Resources (HR) and on-site Human Resources (HR) to handle employee relations issues for our salaried and hourly population. You will be expected to work collaboratively within a team to share ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key Human Resources (HR) processes, participate in Human Resources (HR) Team meetings and other meetings as required as a means to take a proactive approach to Human Resources (HR) activities and work.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

Manage and execute Whirlpool's Employee Relations programs and policies, including the disciplinary process, investigations, reasonable accommodations, and performance management
Resolve Employee Relations related issues requiring deep functional expertise escalated by Employees or People Leaders through the Operations Center
Conduct fact-finding investigation activities (e.g., interviews, document review, consultation with appropriate Company officials) related to internal and external inquiries, complaints and concerns and prescribe an appropriate remedy to resolve complaint or concern
Educate People Leaders and Employees on Employee Relations (ER) policies, plans, programs, practices, processes, and tools to ensure knowledge transfer, enhanced organizational capability related to the management of employee relations issues and consistent delivery
Counsel and advise People Leaders of appropriate interventions to address employee relations issues (e.g., performance improvement process, separations, etc.)
Counsel People Leaders and employees regarding the intent, application, and compliance requirements of significant labor and regulatory laws
Partner with Business Human Resources (HR) and the business, units to deliver data and analysis of the employee relations issues occurring in their locations/functions
Use continuous improvement tools to identify and execute improvements to employee experience processes
Other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's Degree
3+ year(s) of Human Resources (HR) experience, with a focus in Employee Relations
2+ year(s) of experience in Information Retention, Coaching or Labor Relations

Preferred Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, a Law degree is helpful
Knowledge of Human Resources (HR) and Employee Relations (ER) services, policies and programs, and key contacts
Experience in data analysis
Delivers strong, consistent content in both quality and service
Knowledge of shared services operations and management, with an emphasis on people management
Verbal and communication skills
Interpersonal skills
Analytical skills, attention to detail
Negotiate with employees, vendors, clients, etc.
Flexible and adaptable to enact the necessary change for success
Develop and execute ideas into fruition
