Our HRG will partner with the HR Manager to cultivate a engaging culture and lead the people-side of our business. Position Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will assist with the day-to-day operations of the human resources department, including the administration of the human resources system. This position will serve as the point of contact to handle employee inquiries and lead recruiting activities.
Essential Functions

  • Respond to employees' inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Assists HR Manager to develop effective recruitment strategies and administers the full cycle recruiting process including but not limited to posting job openings, identifying qualified candidates, conducting interviews (in-person, phone, video) and extending offers of employment.
  • Processes and administers all leave of absence and/or disability requests: medical, personal, disability and FMLA paperwork.
  • Collaborate with payroll on all employee changes and serves as back up for payroll processing
  • Responds to requests such employment verifications, unemployment claims, payroll garnishments, insurance, etc.
  • Maintains the HRIS, benefits system and electronic personnel files, and generate reports as needed
  • Reviews & reconciles monthly vendor invoices and resolves discrepancies as needed
  • Maintains onboarding program and onboards new employees. Offboards employees as necessary.
  • Participates in developing & maintaining organizational guidelines and procedures
  • Monitors company culture and helps identify and implement ways to improve employee engagement and employee recognition
  • Assists in implementing employee programs including but not limited to training, benefits and recognition.
  • Assists in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment including management and administration of the Bank's COVID-19 Preparedness & Response Plan.
  • Stays up-to-date with federal and state employment law and compliance requirements

Other Functions

  • Other duties/projects as assigned
  • Familiar with and abides by all bank regulations including but not limited to BSA/AML and OFAC

Working Conditions of the Job

  • Stationed at desk at least 50% of work time and more as needed.
  • No particular hazards.
  • No unusual physical exertion required.

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, human resources and payroll systems
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new software and tools
  • Familiarity w/any of the following a plus: Dominion, Employee Navigator, Performance Pro, or BAI
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and complete projects timely and accurately
  • High level of integrity and good judgment when handling confidential information and sensitive matters
  • Understanding of state and federal employment regulations
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently
  • Some day time travel required (10%), branch visits

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Minimum of 2 years human resources experience
  • Minimum of 2 years working with HRIS system
