We have an opening for a Senior Human Leadership Business Partner in our Walker, MI Headquarters location.
The Senior Human Leadership Business Partner role is a key partner to BISSELL's business leaders, supporting salaried client functional groups. As a trusted ally to leaders and all associates, you will help to execute, implement, and support associate experience initiatives and strategies. These projects will focus on providing a more simple and impactful experience in engaging with the HL Team. This role will consistently be looking toward continuous improvement in the spaces of onboarding, performance management, leadership and professional development, and associate relations. This role will establish an essential working relationship with senior leadership of specific business units. This position will facilitate succession planning, aid with workforce planning, talent management of performance and recognition to support the business outcomes of the business unit. The role will provide end-to-end support from administrative to business partnering to trusted ally, building a highly engaged relationship and valuable set of services.
This senior HL leader will provide support to our Global Sales Management, BISSELL Pet Foundation, and Family Office business units. Sound like you? Here are some other key success factors for the role:

RUN WITH THE BIG DOGS
- An enthusiastic team player with an innate ability to work cross functionally at all levels and possess a strong drive to create a positive team environment.
- Act as a strategic talent partner for Senior Business Leaders to identify and execute near-term tactical plans that align with long-term talent strategy. Influence leaders at senior levels (VP, SVP).
- Facilitate annual processes inclusive of talent reviews, succession planning, performance calibration, and team effectiveness interventions.
- Leveraging organizational health dashboards, provide critical insights for their designated organization(s) and facilitate action planning to be responsive to changes in the internal and external environment.
- Lead the action planning process for annual and semi-annual employee engagement surveys for global and local teams.
- Guide and support assigned leaders through BISSELL's performance management process, including guidance on performance improvement plans, individual development plans, and terminations.
- Accountable to drive execution of critical performance process milestones (new hire review periods, year-end completion) to ensure a healthy performance culture.
- Act as first point of contact in HR for assigned salaried groups at headquarters, proactively offering support and guidance on policies, processes, and procedures.
- Guide assigned leaders and associates on the handbook, legal requirements and practices of a wide range of topics including FMLA / leave process as it relates to policy, law, and process in using external FMLA administrator.
- Lead projects across the Performance and Engagement team outside of assigned client groups to drive continuous improvement in our processes, systems and services.
- Stay current on HR compliance and local, state and federal laws, as well as trends with organizational policy and associate experience.
- Support the other HLBP's and act as a backup in supporting defined other business units.
Job Requirements
DESIGNED FOR SUCCESS
Degree minimum: Bachelor's Degree
Specific concentration: Business Administration, Management, or Human Resources preferred
Experience level: Must have at least 10 years of experience working in Human Resources, with at least 7 years of experience as an HR Leader supporting salaried client groups.

- Strong command and sense of presence
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize work effectively and efficiently

- Past facilitation of performance management, succession planning and management mentoring tools and conversations
- Must be familiar enough with employment law where solid recommendations can be made to leadership in challenging associate relations situations
- Ability to exercise discretion when handling confidential information
- High emotional EQ
