Job description

Position Purpose

LG Energy Solution is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support HR administration for a variety of employee services and engagement activities including, but not limited to, new hire orientation and onboarding, special projects, recognition programs, data management, scheduling and policy compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Administer the pre- and post-employment onboarding process, including new hire communications, coordination and orientation
  • Support communications, documentation, data management and benefit updates when employee status changes occur
  • Process department invoices as needed
  • Support hourly fulltime and temporary associate recruiting, onboarding, and coordination activities
  • Support salaried recruiting activities as assigned
  • Assist with a variety of special projects, including research, to support company growth
  • Support employee questions and needs with a high level of customer service and urgency
  • Facilitate the planning, scheduling and implementation of various employee engagement activities and programs
  • Assist with the scheduling and facilitation of various learning & development activities
  • Maintain data and status tracking, primarily using MS Excel
  • Fulfill filing, scheduling, supply ordering, and other administrative functions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Complete daily documentation and reports as required by position
  • Follow established work instructions
  • Adhere to safety requirements at all times, including the use of proper PPE
  • Maintain 5S and 3R standards
  • Participate in, and successfully complete, training requirements

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelors Degree in Human Resources, or similar, preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-3 years established experience in an HR position, ideally within a manufacturing company
  • Computer skills are required
    • Must be able to use a keyboard, mouse and trackpad, internet browser and effectively perform tasks in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Basic math skills are required
    • Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide decimals with or without the use of a calculator
  • Must have strong organizational, time management and prioritization abilities
  • Must be a team player and possess excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required
    • Onsite hours are 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday
    • Evenings and weekends required occasionally, but not typically
