Job description

Jefferson Wells is seeking a Supplier Engagement Lead consultant for an automotive client in the Metro Detroit area.

The role is to enhance our client's supply chain by managing supplier governance, improving supplier relationships, measuring supplier performance and helping to close any performance gaps through education and training. The work of a Supplier Engagement Lead involves a high level of independent judgment, strategic vision, detailed analysis, priority setting, organizational agility and outstanding communication skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the transformation of Supplier Lifecyle Management
  • Discover, evaluate and implement supplier management tools and solutions
  • Seek, collect and synthesize information from a variety of stakeholders and sources in an objective, unbiased manner to enable strategic and leadership decision making.
  • Generate insights from disparate information that solve a business need
  • Undertake preprocessing of structured and unstructured data
  • Present complex information in a simple to understand manner using data visualization techniques leveraging a BI tool like Power BI
  • Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges that drive business impact
  • Design supplier data visualizations that communicate information clearly and effectively
  • Develop and implement Supplier Development Training
  • Coordinate supplier business meeting and events
  • Prepare reports and surveys
  • Lead/Participate in various special project teams (Internal/External)
  • Develop, enhance, and implement standardized work processes
  • Manage 3rd party service provider(s) to ensure timely receipt of deliverables

Requirements:

  • Expertise with Power BI is critical for this role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or other related areas; Preferred Master's Degree in Business Administration
  • Preferred knowledge of purchasing policies, processes, and key performance indicators
  • Preferred expertise in Exhibit key Lominger Competencies: Business Acumen, Interpersonal Savvy, Comfort Around Higher Management, and Organizational Agility
  • Strong analytic skills
  • Proficiency in Power BI and other business intelligence tools
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strategic development/execution and leadership capabilities
  • Demonstrated technical and professional skills in job-related area
  • Exceptional interpersonal style and communication methods to work effectively with internal and external business partners
  • Highly proficient in various computer software applications (Excel/Access/PowerPoint)
  • Ability to network and collaborate internally and externally
  • Ability to comprehend and implement process/system changes based on revised business requirements
  • Exhibit key Lominger Competencies: Technical Learning, Strategic Agility, Drive for Results, Innovation Management, Dealing with Ambiguity, Process Management and Presentation SkillsOEM experience and understanding of automotive and dealership
