Our client in Novi, Michigan is currently searching for an Accounts Payable Supervisor. This is a direct hire opportunity at an international automation supplier. Position Summary
Reporting to the Accounting Manager, responsible for accurate and timely payments to vendors, completion of account reconciliations, and expense reporting transactions. Will also hire, train, motivate and delegate work to three Accounts Payable Specialists.

Provide daily hands-on supervision of the Accounts Payable team.
Ensure that vendor invoices are retrieved, coded, and entered properly into SAP system.
Handle all types of Accounts Payable invoices including utilities, freight, sub-contractor, & contract employees.
Ensure payment distribution via ACH, wires, vendor portals, etc.
Resolve vendor issues that are escalated by the AP team.
Perform month end close activities.

Education and Experience
Associates Degree required. Bachelors Degree a plus.
Five to ten years work experience in Accounting or Finance. Strong skills in Accounts Payable processing.
Prior supervisory experience.
Accounting knowledge of accounting principles, standards (US GAAP), regulations, laws and practices.
Any ERP system knowledge of SAP preferred.
