Job description

Note : This position is based in our Plymouth, Minnesota headquarters location, with flexibility for a remote/hybrid work arrangement. Candidates must reside in the Twin Cities metro area or outlying areas.


The Human Resources (HR) Manager will be responsible for identifying the people we need, engaging the people we have and building a culture that defines and differentiates us. This "hands-on" role works collaboratively with business leaders to develop and execute HR strategies that align and facilitate the successful execution of the organization's strategy. The incumbent provides consultation and subject matter expertise to team members and leadership in all areas of HR programming and acts as a trusted advisor to leaders and assists them with achieving operational and team objectives. Responsible for leading the development and implementation of HR projects, processes, policies, and procedures that support the vision and values of the organization.

The HR Manager will lead a small team of HR professionals with a focus on talent development, employee relations, learning and development, and HR operations:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Deliver service-oriented HR operational support, advice and counsel to employees and managers.
  • Represent the people-perspective in business decisions so implications are understood and the workforce is proactively and successfully utilized for the overall benefit of the business.
  • Assists with employee engagement and recognition programs including round tables, engagement survey, action plan implementation and communication tools.
  • Champion and partner with site leadership to enhance the workplace culture that aligns with high performance and reflects NatureWorks core values.
  • Oversees the development, implementation, maintenance and communication of company policies.
  • Partners with the managers to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, retention, performance management and succession planning.
  • Work with the site leaders to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion is embraced and supported by all.
  • Drive a disciplined and ethical approach to all people-related matters.
  • Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that enable development opportunities.
  • Develop and deliver trainings to new and existing employees, ensuring they have a thorough understanding of their job functions, policies, procedures, and opportunities for growth.

This role pays a competitive market salary per year depending on experience, education, and other qualifying factors. In addition to base salary, the individual selected for this role will be eligible for an annual bonus at 13% target and a robust employee benefits package that includes:

Experience Required
  • 10 year(s): Experience in Human Resources
Preferred
  • Experience in a manufacturing and/or production environment
  • 5 year(s): Experience as an HR Manager in a science and/or tech driven industry
Education Required
  • Bachelors or better in Human Resource Administration or related field
