The Partnership Director will be responsible for cultivating, launching, and managing market-distinctive partnerships with leading consumer brands that are aligned to our mission and add value to our members. This leader should be customer-obsessed and will serve as part strategy owner, part relationship manager, part master negotiator, part user experience advocate, and part program manager. The ideal candidate builds relationships with and influences varying levels of internal and external stakeholders, excelling at cross-functional and team-based problem solving to deliver results.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy, execution, and management of innovative consumer strategic partnerships that deliver value to our members while creating market differentiation and new revenue opportunities
• Work closely with leadership to design creative new business models, rapidly evolve strategies and prioritize partnerships to meet the needs and opportunities within the market
• Build new and manage existing strategic relationships, representing UnitedHealthcare externally to negotiate terms and build industry partnerships that amplify impact
• Work with legal and ES&P to manage, negotiate, and execute partnership agreements
• Work with cross-functional teams including digital product, marketing, sales, operations, and others to define requirements, gather resource, and manage execution to successfully implement and launch partnerships
• Help to facilitate the effective handoff of sales to implementation to ongoing customer management for our strategic partnerships; partner and build the appropriate infrastructure to ensure customer success
• In combination with other key internal functional leaders, establish governance mechanisms to prioritize, fund, and manage a partnerships portfolio, including decisions regarding internal build vs. external (partnerships or acquisition)
• Oversee management for executed partnerships to ensure and monitor client satisfaction via reporting, as well as identify further areas of collaboration

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of experience with clear demonstration of results and increasing responsibility
• Demonstrated experience leading deal discussions with primary principals
• Demonstrated experience in motivating people with excellent relationship-building skills
• Demonstrated financial/analytical skills with solid business acumen
• Willing and able to travel 25% or more

Preferred Qualifications:

• MBA
• Financial acumen in healthcare, management consulting, or investment banking
• Solid understanding of consumer brands and/or digital health landscape including external relationships
• Demonstrated strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and deal with ambiguity
