Southern Mississippi Trading has become the leading wholesale trading company in the Southern United States. Because of the tremendous growth at Southern Mississippi, we are looking to add a Recruiting and Marketing Manager to join our team.


The Recruiting and Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing, establishing and/or maintaining business and marketing strategies to meet SMT business objectives, as well as having a hand in leading our recruitment & hiring efforts. This position will report and work hand in hand with the President of SMT and has the potential to develop and take on more leadership responsibilities over time.

**This position requires you to be in office


Responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Primary point of contact for all hiring and recruiting initiatives
  • Develop/review and implement new business marketing strategies and expand SMT's marketing platforms
  • Expand and grow SMT's social media presence
  • Primary point of contact for College recruiting initiatives
  • Prepare for and attend college recruiting events
  • Other recruiting and marketing, as necessary


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • 3-5 years of industry related experience
  • Recruiting experience is preferred, not necessary
  • Marketing and social media experience preferred, not necessary
  • Exceptionally strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Energetic, personable and dynamic individual who is good at storytelling
  • Experience using Microsoft products, various social media platforms and recruiting software
  • Well organized, detail-oriented individual who is used to working in a fast paced, team environment
