The Sr. Executive Recruiter will support multiple Lines of Business, and will proactively identify, contact and assess senior level talent within the market. S/he will develop relationships with multiple hiring executives and be the subject matter expert for specialized talent acquisition needs. S/he regularly consults with recruiting counterparts, hiring managers, and HR business partners to develop search strategies to proactively recruit diverse talent for executive openings. This person will develop an in-depth understanding of candidate qualifications and competencies to fill the need. The ideal candidate will be able to manage the recruitment strategy for multiple openings, from the initial research and planning phase, to candidate identification, assessment, development and presentation.

Specifically this role will provide recruiting consulting and oversight in the following areas:

  • Develop and maintain market specific intelligence relevant to the business and talent needs to include maintaining a network of diverse industry contacts/documents and report out on search progress, including candidate pipelines, diversity initiatives, and market related compensation.
  • Provide counsel to hiring managers during assessment and evaluation of candidates and act as primary negotiator and closer of selected candidates, as well as conduct thorough reference on all finalist candidates.
  • Provide consultation to partners to assist with hiring decisions and analysis of details of complex offers.
  • Ensure a strong positive client and candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Develop a strong understanding of business issues within the industry and utilizes knowledge in search planning for appropriate company targeting.
  • Position and effectively articulate the Wells Fargo employment brand. Interact with and provide thought leadership to other executive recruiters within the Wells Fargo executive recruiter community.
  • Manage third party vendors efficiently.
  • Provide leadership and consultation on various ad hoc projects focused on executive human capital initiatives within the LOB.

Selected candidate will be required to work within one of the following Wells Fargo locations: Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; Atlanta, GA; Des Moines, IA. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.



Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of executive recruiting experience, retained search experience, or a combination of both



Desired Qualifications

  • Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
  • Knowledge and understanding of contact management systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures, including an understanding of legal and OFCCP recruiting requirements
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Applicant tracking systems experience
  • Experience consulting on and negotiating complex compensation packages
  • Knowledge and understanding of executive recruiting techniques, recruitment plan development, sourcing methods and executive compensation strategies.
  • 6+ years of experience sourcing passive executive level candidates through referrals, warm leads, cold calls, and other direct sourcing techniques.
  • 4+ years of experience in recruiting senior level professionals in a retained search or contingency search firm
  • Experience consulting, influencing and partnering with business executives, leadership, human resources partners and peers



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience in developing and executing diversity recruiting strategies to identify diverse executive level talent.
