Breeding Quality Lead
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Breeding Quality Lead, are to:
* Build and implement a best-in-class Quality Program strategy and goals aligned with business strategies to support sustainable, operationally excellent processes for our breeding operations in all world regions;
* Design and direct implementation of metric-driven systems to deliver sustainable compliance, trait quality and business management programs across Breeding;
* Work with team to training, key performance indicator management, document control, audit and management review;
* Develop and implement an Information Technology (IT) tools strategy for our Quality Systems globally, including systems to deliver real-time metrics for Quality and Compliance related activities to enable monitoring, tracking and improvement;
* Develop a Quality certification strategy and supervise audit preparations for certification and "Excellence through Stewardship" audits for all global regions;
* Collaborate with Global Breeding Leadership teams globally to align business and Quality strategies to achieve proactive risk management;
* Provide leadership and drive talent development for a team of direct reports and dotted line reports;
* Design strategies to develop Quality professionals across the organization, develop leadership skills and prepare talents for rotation across Bayer;
* Lead and/or collaborate with Breeding teams to supervise projects to optimize and improve processes and products globally.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience or Master's degree with at least eight years of relevant experience or Ph.D. with at least five years of relevant experience;
* At least one year of leadership experience to include project leadership;
* Experience with Quality Management Systems;
* Experience in application of IT solutions to support business operations Experience in working across multi-functional, global teams to deliver results;
* Demonstrated leading through influence across organizations;
* Demonstrated successful collaborations across teams;
* Ability to coach, mentor and develop other team members to become adopters of culture, processes and tools;
* Project management experience with the ability to prioritize and drive projects to completion while working under tight timelines;
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Degree focus in Plant Breeding, Agronomy, Molecular Biology, Quality Management or related discipline;
* Experience in agriculture or business operations;
* At least five years of experience with leading a Quality program;
* Experience with LEAN philosophies and/or Six Sigma methodologies;
* Proficient in Monsanto's enterprise data management and analysis software;
* Experience leading IT strategies and building solutions to meet changing business needs;
* Experience with risk management, compliance and/or trait quality.
