This company, a software engineering and data science company with interests in the financial services and insurance verticals, is currently recruiting a Jr Data Scientist to join the Data Science and Decision Management Team.
In this role, you'll be tasked with mining and analyzing data, developing and deploying machine
learning models, visualizing and interpreting data, developing cost/benefit analysis, generating new products and/or business ideas, and distilling complex conclusions to actionable insights.
Who We're Looking For
An ideal candidate for this role should possess the following:
• 2 - 4 years of related experience in an analytical role
• A minimum of 2 years work experience with MySQL, MariaDB, or other RDBMS
• Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and individually
• Proven ability to learn new technologies quickly and independently
• Highly demonstrative entrepreneurial spirit with a will to win
Highly qualified candidates will possess any combination of the following:
• Demonstrative superior command of ANSI SQL, ideally the MySQL dialect
• Well documented experience with predictive modeling projects
• Working proficiency with the command line and/or GitLab
• Exposure to either Java or Python programming languages
• Prior experience in banking/financial services/risk management
• Prior experience generating and measuring data-related experiments
