MMGY Global has immediate openings available for a Media Manager in our Detroit, Kansas City and Los Angeles offices. This is a full-time position responsible for managing the investment of integrated media campaigns across a portfolio of travel accounts. MMGY media team members possess a strong curiosity to learn and are creative and collaborative thinkers to ensure delivery of new media solutions. Knowledge across digital, traditional, social and B2B channels is preferred. MMGY is looking for a collaborative, team player with a strong work ethic and aptitude for learning more about data driven marketing.


Media Campaign Management:


  • Facilitation and negotiation of integrated media including digital, social and traditional media
  • Working with media planning team to create and own distribution of media RFPs
  • Negotiate and confirm media placement details to align with client goals
  • Relationship management with channel and vendor reps


  • Purchasing of all integrated media
  • Processing media by deadlines using various media buying software including paid social vendor platforms
  • Ensure client funds are spent as agreed upon in contracts and media plans
  • Ensure client deliverables are completed and executed to client expectations


  • Ongoing analysis and optimization of media placements to drive results exceeding KPIs
  • Working closely with media team to effectively manage live campaigns and ensure everything launches on time
  • Providing in-depth insights for client facing reporting
  • Ongoing optimization and communication to clients and internal teams for continued learnings
  • Checking data for accuracy against media buys and strategy


Team Collaboration

  • Attending vendor meetings to gain and maintain a thorough knowledge of media options, partner features and market opportunities. Ensure client objectives are being discussed with relevant vendors in an ongoing manner.
  • Staying informed of industry trends and best practices with regard to media planning, placement, tracking and reporting
  • Establishing professional and productive relationships within agency, media team and vendors


Key Experience & Skills Needed


  • Minimum 2 years of experience in media campaign management and buying or relevant roles
  • Strong working knowledge of measurement and third-party tracking tools
  • Experience with social platforms and media buying software
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work in a team and collaborate with others.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, deals well with ambiguity, strong time management, attention to detail, and excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
