Northrop Grumman - Cutting Edge Optronics is seeking a highly motivated, seasoned Manufacturing Manager with strong team skills, able to lead an established manufacturing area to higher levels of productivity and performance through a significant production ramp-up period and beyond. The chosen candidate will display a passion for manufacturing results, have a proven track record of implementing significant manufacturing productivity improvements all while highly focused on team oriented execution.

Responsibilities

Manage a manufacturing area with approximately 5-10 direct report hourly employees.
Accountability for achieving aggressive growth targets for production volume, on time delivery, quality focus and cost management
Work closely with company-wide functions (Quality, Safety, Engineering, Customer Service, Finance, Procurement, Senior Management, etc.) to ensure all goals of manufacturing are accomplished with a focus on team work, collaboration and regulatory compliance
Manage productivity improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, etc. approaches
Significant involvement with the implementation and improved utilization of an ERP system with focus on automation and efficiency improvements of volume manufacturing scheduling tools and techniques

Basic Qualifications

10 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
4 years of experience managing 10 or more direct reports in a manufacturing environment
Proven leadership implementing Six Sigma, Kaizen, etc. productivity improvement initiatives
Working knowledge of SPC utilization in a volume manufacturing environment
Hands on experience with a relevant ERP/MRP system for volume manufacturing
High level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Power Point, and Project
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent collaboration skills with all levels of an organization

Preferred Qualifications

Degree(s) in STEM discipline(s)
Master's degree in business, finance or manufacturing related focus
Working knowledge of Visual Manufacturing
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Tableau
Experience with manufacturing technician training systems and documentation
PMP certification

Salary Range: 96000 - 144000

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
