Location

This role will be located at the St. Louis Support Center under a hybrid working model, reporting to the office and working from a remote environment. Open to remote for the right candidate.

The Social Media Coordinator will work within the marketing department and will report to the Manager, Social Media. The social media team manages Panera's social efforts - both paid and organic - in conjunction with multiple internal stakeholders and external agencies and partners. The Coordinator, Social Media candidate will work across various social media platforms and push innovation by connecting the Panera brand with culture and brand love moments. The right candidate should lead with a digital-first mindset, possess exceptional communication skills, detail-oriented and passionate about our brand.


Duties & Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to:


Community Management

  • Brand steward to connect culturally and opportunistically to produce breakthrough creative work on social platforms.
  • Monitor and engage with high reach fans on social media channels.
  • Utilize social listening tools to understand current conversations about Panera and impact of social campaigns.
  • Monitor ongoing social and cultural conversation to identify and implement "real time" opportunities to amplify Panera's voice.
  • Understand brand voice and translate to copywriting across social platforms.


Campaign Support

  • Participate in agency briefings, creative presentations, and creative assessment
  • Capture all notes and feedback in campaign creative reviews to summarize for the team
  • Manage development and distribution of campaign communications and presentations to internal stakeholders
  • Work with agency partners and outside vendors to develop and execute social content in support of brand and marketing initiatives
  • Work cross functionally with broader marketing team (content marketing, brand creative, consumer & business support services etc.) to ensure a consistent social media voice.
  • Execute strategic 1:1 advocacy campaigns
  • Assist with influencer strategy for the brand, including micro-influencers and emerging influencer ambassadors
  • Manage social calendar and share out with key stakeholders for visibility of upcoming campaigns


Social Trafficking

  • Work with creative and media agencies on campaign trafficking and scheduling
  • Manage creative review/proofing process
  • Manage added value process and opportunities


Qualifications (Education & Experience)

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree required, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, or communications
  • 2+ years of experience in social media of brand marketing
  • Passionate about harnessing the power of social media to drive business results
  • A social media trend hunter with a pulse on what's relevant on each platform (especially TikTok)
  • An understanding of social's pace and an advocate for agile response and trend participation
  • A high-energy self-starter with natural curiosity
  • A strong verbal and written communicator
  • A highly organized individual
  • An effective multi-tasker who works well in multi-functional teams
  • Fully immersed in all major social networks
  • Thrives in a high-energy, fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Experience writing and editing for social channels, and managing editorial calendars (preferred)
  • Exhibit and live Panera's cultural values and concept essence
  • Experience working in a deadline driven environment
