Job description
Director, Boeing Account Business Development provides expertise to the Electronics Systems Sector Leadership and its Business Areas by:
Supporting business development by identification, qualification and creation of opportunities with Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) customers
Supports programs in the development of marketing plans and capture strategies for BDS and BGS market opportunities
Leads key industry day and supplier conference activity with Boeing, and leads Boeing engagements at key trade shows and conferences
Supporting current business activities with BDS and BGS customers, providing "Voice of the Customer" to businesses, both for new opportunities, as well as ongoing program activity
Regularly interfacing with the Boeing program and functional leadership to establish relationships with key BAE Systems counterparts and to position for new business.
This position requires expertise and knowledge of Boeing, including understanding their organization and leadership. A strong candidate will understand the interrelationships between their key functional organizations and program management, particularly how Engineering and Supply Chain work with their program leadership for evaluation and selection of suppliers for key programs. Additionally, a strong understanding of expected prime contractor practices and execution is strongly desired.
The position will develop and maintain close trusted partner relationships with offices of both mid-level and senior Boeing customers, current and prospective, as well as key functional personnel. The position will coordinate with Electronics Systems Business Development, Engineering, Contracts, Technical Directors and Program Management personnel and support briefings to customers that highlight BAE Systems capabilities and solutions, as well as supporting ongoing program execution reviews and key meetings.
The Director, Boeing Account Business Development Director will report to the Electronic Systems Sector VP of DOD Customer Requirements & Advocacy.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements for access to classified information as well as maintain BAE Systems highest ethical standards.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Secret clearance required, Top Secret clearance desired (or eligibility for same)
Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree desired
Experience with Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and/or Boeing Global Services (BGS), including an understanding of their business practices
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Thorough understanding of Boeing programs, their customers and the ability to think strategically and champion future opportunities for Electronic Systems
Experience working with Boeing on source selection processes
Experience working with industry senior leadership
