Controller Job Summary

US Polymers-Accurez, LLC, , is a growing chemical manufacturer located in St. Louis, Missouri. Established in 1944, for over 75 years, our company has provided high performance resins for inks and coatings and has become one of the most trusted names in the specialty chemical industry.

The controller position will be responsible for the company's day to day, monthly and annual financial and managerial accounting as well as manage and oversee all financial aspects of the company. The position reports to the President of the company and will have an influential role in the direction and operation of the company. The ability to strategically think beyond the numbers will strongly influence the selection process.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Guides financial decisions and maximize financial results of company by establishing and enforcing policies, procedures, controls and reporting systems

· Preparation of annual budgets, rolling operating projections and monthly financial statements and related detail

· Proactively investigate and act on variances to budget, forecasts and prior periods including providing analysis of variances and highlighting trends

· Monitoring of budget and operating objectives including management of capital expenditure projects.

· Manage all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger maintenance, cost accounting, working capital management including monitoring of all debt facilities, accounts receivable and payable, payroll, debt and tax compliance, inventory management and analysis of variances and highlighting of trends

· Overall inventory management including review of monthly inventories, inventory costing and maintenance of bill of materials

· Supervision of accounting and office staff

· Advise and coordinate sales pricing/product costing models, business and health insurance policies, contract negotiations and other matters with the company's President and Managing Members

· Primary Human Resource Manager

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in accounting

· Minimum of 7-10 years of previous position as a Controller in a manufacturing environment. Industrial chemical industry experience preferred but not required

· Excellent computer skills, experience in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite programs; Experience in Sage/Peachtree accounting as well as more sophisticated ERP systems a plus

· Strong communication and presentation skills

· Highly analytical and detail oriented in interpreting operating results and in developing and implementing improvements or recommendations

· Familiarly with information technology (e.g. computer systems, servers and domain and network management

Compensation

Competitive base salary with benefit package including bonus potential, vacation, health insurance benefits and 401(k) and profit sharing plan

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $74,000.00 - $114,000.00 per year
