Job description

Ministry Function:

The Receptionist supports the ministry of Convoy of Hope by providing a pleasant first impression to all callers and visitors. The receptionist greeting sets the tone for each individual's subsequent interactions with the ministry.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process all incoming calls to the main switchboard, and greet all guests.
• Maintain office supplies area in the storage room and process/order office supplies for all departments.
• Be on call when other receptionist is out on vacation or sick.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Required, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills for positively representing Convoy of Hope to all callers and visitors.
• Ability to operate a multi-line phone.
• Ability to work in a team environment and job share. This position will need to be flexible in case other receptionist is on vacation or sick or if the need to help with additional coverage due to business workload should arise.
• Strong organization skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to use a PC and software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Serve as an advocate for the ministry, striving to nurture, broaden and develop financial and other resource opportunities to support and expand organizational and program ministry.
• Ability to positively represent the ministry of Convoy of Hope, including its mission statement and core values, to all outside constituencies.
• As a Christian organization, Convoy of Hope believes it is critical that each staff member embraces the organization's religious purposes for which it exists and not only agrees with its Statement of Faith but demonstrates it in their lives on an ongoing basis.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None at this time.

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
