About the Role

Inflection/GoodHire is looking for a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for contributing to the strategic vision and growth of Inflection through new business development opportunities, by ensuring that we're constantly exploring partnerships that could accelerate the growth of our business or enhance our customer experience. This role will be a part of the Vendor Operations team in which you must be a critical thinker, a highly effective communicator and talent for creatively solving problems. To also be unwavering and tenacious in your efforts to deliver quality work on time, drive accountability within project teams, and understand project status and next steps

In this role, you will:

• Be intensely collaborative, constantly sharing ideas, qualifying ideas, and moving quick on the biggest and best opportunities
• Be relentlessly tenacious in the pursuit of new opportunities that could better Inflection
• Assess the partner landscape and source opportunities to create meaningful, ROI-positive relationships in current or new verticals or markets
• Qualify partner prospects and assess their fit with the company's values
• Develop and present partnership proposals and business cases internally for justifying the value of new relationships
• Develop and negotiate new partnership agreements, collaborating with Legal and other members of the organization, including Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Finance
• Present and track new partnership pipeline during team and company-wide meetings
• Demonstrate a certain standard of excellence and take pride in the work that they do
• Form trusted and transparent relationships with their vendor partners and internal stakeholders, and leverage those relationships to achieve a common goal

You will be a fantastic fit for this role, if you bring:

• BS/BA - or equivalent work experience in a highly technical work environment. MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years of Business Development experience, preferably in the Software industry
• Demonstrated experience effectively identifying areas of opportunity, seeking out potential solutions, and bring said solutions to life
• Experience presenting to executive audiences
• Love managing highly cross-functional projects and working towards lofty goals
• Have a passion for unifying individuals of varying backgrounds to achieve a common goal
• Seek to have a positive impact on the world and get excited about technology's potential to change existing industries in new ways
• Love immersing yourself in product features and functionality, but can also talk candidly about business strategy and partnerships
• Thoughtful planner who is detail-oriented, but you never forget about the big picture
• Passionate about building trust-based relationships
• Energized when you work with other smart, passionate, and talented individuals
• Team player who loves collaborating and listening as much as leading
• Place high importance on quantitative and analytical skills
