Do you have a passion for mission-driven work? Our client is seeking an individual to lead a team of 4 with all of the day-to-day finance operations for a $50 million entity.

Our client is an established Midwest non-profit organization. They exist to assist various other mission-driven companies in the area-aiming to make a difference in the community in multiple ways, especially with underprivileged children. The Controller will be responsible for ensuring that each organization has the systems and procedures in place to support effective program implementation, and achieve flawless audits. Here are the primary responsibilities of the role:

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems; ensure compliance with GAAP requirements
  • Coordinate year-end audits
  • Manage cash flow
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports
  • Assist with manual payments and journal entries
  • Supervise all Payroll, AP and AR functions
  • Act as a liaison with internal/external stakeholders for any accounting concerns

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, required
  • Experience in the NFP arena, or public accounting experience with exposure to non-profit organizations
  • 2 years' supervisory experience in accounting, required
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Ability to analyze and interpret fiscal data
