THE ROLE
The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the company's management reporting and analysis, expense budgeting and forecasting, and other financial planning/analysis projects, reports, and initiatives. The ideal candidate is looking to hone their Excel and big data skills, working alongside a real data pro that will mentor and guide them as they grow their knowledge base.

KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepares period reporting for each North American company and for each functional area's financial performance vs. budget, prior year, and forecast
  • Provides routine revenue and expense variance analysis against budget and previous year
  • Works with the Finance team to develop, refine, and report key performance indicators and business metrics used to manage the companies
  • Assists in the execution of the budgeting and forecasting process
  • Executes special projects as needs arise, including ad hoc analysis to solve business issues
  • Works closely with peers in the group FP&A function located in the United Kingdom
  • Prepares certain weekly / monthly / quarterly financial reporting
  • Assists with planned systems implementations or enhancements as they relate to financial planning and analytical processes
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of accounting concepts and financial statements
  • 0-3 years of experience as a Financial Analyst
  • BA/BS in Business with an emphasis in Accounting preferred
