The Intern role is accountable to develop core skills and working knowledge of FNBO business practices and operations through educational sessions, straightforward projects, and other duties requested by the manager.

SUMMER 2022 INTERNSHIP

Overview

Join a dynamic team focused on transforming our business through new products and financial technology ("fintech") partnerships. The Innovation engineering Intern will focus on building testable prototypes and doing technical validation for potential new products and areas the team is exploring. You will collaborate with the rest of the team across research areas as we explore these spaces by participating in activities such as user interactions, idea generation, and concept testing. You may also be part of our efforts to educate the enterprise about emerging technologies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Prototype Creation: build interfaces and workflows for testing concepts with users
  • Technical Research: evaluate technical needs and barriers to solving potential problems and possible solutions
  • Technical Documentation: create reports and diagrams on research findings and potential solutions
  • Team Collaboration: work with the rest of the team to explore the edges of fintech

Qualifications

  • Junior status or higher in university (or equivalent experience)
  • Software development background or experience required

  • Part-time or full-time, flexible, hybrid

Location

  • Hybrid (flexibility to occasionally be in Omaha office)
