Our client is seeking an individual who is experience in Accounting/Bookkeeping. This candidate must be familiar with many aspects of accounting including sales tax, fixed assets, bank reconciliations, account analysis, and capital expenditure reports. This individual will wear many hats in the role and must be a 'go-getter' with a passion for problem-solving.

Our client is a well-established organization of several entities within the retail/restoration industry. Their distribution facility is based out of state, with most of their Accounting Department working in their Omaha office. Here are the primary responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Review and approve monthly sales tax returns
• Maintain capital spending reports and initiate project closures
• Maintain fixed asset records
• Book monthly depreciation
• Monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain balance sheets and supporting documents
• Analyze business activity as directed for management reports
• Monitor communication from SST
• Other projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Accounting preferred, equivalent work experience accepted
• Must have advanced knowledge of Excel
• Sales tax background, preferred
• Demonstrated ability to learn new systems and execute complex analysis
• Must be autonomous and have a 'self-starter' work ethic
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate
• Creative thinker and flexible team player
• Ability to travel occasionally, preferred
