Cyclonaire is currently looking for an Electrical Technician to join our team in York, NE.
The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling and building all control panels, junction boxes and operator interfaces that were designed by the electrical design team. Wire up all enclosures to assembled equipment. Follow wiring standards: NEC, NFPA, UL508A. The Electrical Technician will work with Designers / Engineers / Project Managers to ensure panels are built correctly and professionally. This position is a member of the Assembly Production Team and works hand in hand with other members to build custom engineered equipment for our customers with the highest of quality.
Essential Functions
• Assemble control panels, motor panels, power distribution panels, junction boxes, and any other type of control enclosures that may be designed by the automation team
• Mount and wire up control panels to assembled equipment (Bin Vents, Conveyors, Hoppers, etc.)
• Coordinate with assembly personnel to ensure proper production schedule.
• Face Panel and all other tagging and labeling
• Give feedback to Designers to assist on ease of panel building, machine wiring, and accuracy of wiring methods
• Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area
• Follow bench testing procedures and document accordingly
• Assist in testing of machines/systems as needed
• Assist with production equipment maintenance
• Train new Electrical Technicians
• Perform other related duties and assignments as required
Competencies: Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math skills as job duties require. Must have basic computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office. Must be able to properly use and read a tape measure.
Education / Experience: The successful candidate will have an Associate Degree or Journeyman License and/or a combination of 2-3 years' experience in one of the following fields: Industrial Electrical Maintenance, Industrial Panel Wiring, Industrial Field Instrumentation, or Industrial Panel Design.
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50-75 pounds maximum on your own, and able to lift 75-100 pounds with assistance. Must have good communication skills and be able to work well with others. Standing, frequent bending, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting, and walking.
Work Environment: Well illuminated, clean and climate-controlled manufacturing facility. May be required to work outdoors as business needs dictate.

Safety: Safety shoes (steel or composite toe), safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, and other forms of PPE as required in designated areas. Perform housekeeping duties as needed. Participate in company safety trainings and programs.
Other Duties: Safe work performance is always required from each employee. Perform all duties and responsibilities in a safe manner in accordance with applicable Health and Safety Manuals. Required to wear or use personal protective equipment as applicable and to immediately report unsafe working conditions. Understanding and adhering to Cyclonaire Core Values is required.
