DNV - Energy Systems division is seeking a Junior Market Segment Manager to join their team in Mexico.
The Junior Market Segment Manager reports to the Market Segment Manager in Mexico. In this role you have a strong market and customer focus, you will drive sales and manage customer relations to a group of customers in a defined market. This role gives customers a voice within the organization, challenges the internal organization on customer centricity and provides input for customer/market policy and strategy.
This position is based out of our Mexico City office.
What You'll Do
Drives sales, by actively managing sales pipeline growth and increasing order intake for defined market area(s). Strong influence on project pricing, resourcing, bid quality review across Energy Systems BA, specifically for the Renewables Advisory, Measurements and Market, Risk and Power Grids
Optimizes the customer experience measured in the CRSI score
Monitors and manages the sales funnel from sales qualified leads to won opportunities
Seeks deep customer insights (e.g., on strategic direction) including prospecting for new customers, market insights and (services of) competitors, and maintain an overview of major market trends, including analysis of political developments
Develops a market area/customer segment strategy for the relevant geographic area or customer segment and focus on business development in the market area including cross- and up-selling activities across BAs, BUs, and services
Fosters a relevant internal and external network; identifies, builds, and strengthens relevant customer relationships. Stimulate collaboration within their region as well as across BA
Acts as a project sponsor for key projects, monitors delivery of projects/services to ensure high-quality and consistency, participate in Cross sector opportunities
Supports the Market Segment Manager and Market Area Manager in (Market Area) strategy and decision making
Provide technical mentoring to the team or technical advice directly to customers including:General project advice
Technical due diligence on pre-construction and operational projects
Assist clients with procurement including contract negotiation and tendering
Other ad-hoc advice
Approve technical work according to applicant's knowledge
Supervise the complete product lifecycle from proposal to delivery
Act as sponsor on a project-level or as Key Account Manager on a customer level
Position Qualifications:
What is Required
Bachelor's degree in any Engineering discipline, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 4 years of experience in the renewable energy sector, wind and/or solar
Experience on driving continuous improvement within a team and developing a culture of high-quality delivery mindset for customers
Intermediate knowledge within the industry, understanding market drivers and challenges in the area
Strong interpersonal skills Dedicated sales mindset, is extremely good at customer relationship building
Dependable, of high integrity and trustworthy
Communicate effectively, is pragmatic, efficient, builds strong relationships and can influence
Hold strong coaching- and leadership skills and has ability to engage, develop, empower, and motivate the regional sales team
Behavioral flexibility to build relationships, adapt easily, coach and influence
Creates trust through reliable delivery and strong and stable relationships with customers
