Job description

JOB SUMMARY: At the direction of the Manager, the Project Manager, plans, directs, and manages the activities of designated project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters using the D-H methodology.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Create, manage and execute Project(s) using Smartsheet and SharePoint working with virtual teams.

2. Develop and design Project sites using Share point. Perform SharePoint project administrative tasks.

3. Contribute to updating and maintaining the DH IS PMO Project Methodology & Training material.

4. Conduct formal training classes using project management selected tools.

5. Provide Help Desk support for the Share point audience for project management.

6. Communicate proactively. Apply effective verbal and written communication skills to facilitate mutual understanding. Present information effectively in small and medium group settings.

7. Facilitate with project team to create/update project charts, scope management, communication plans and to assign duties, responsibilities, and scope of authority based on the roles and responsibilities define in D-H Methodology.

8. Demonstrate self-direction and manage assigned small to medium projects from inception through completion including developing, executing, and monitoring work plan overseen by Sr. Pm or Manager.

9. Independently manage individual workload. Exercise initiative to learn new skills to improve performance and efficiency for Project management support.

10. Understand complex and varied processes or multiple department needs as well as the basics of the health care industry.

11. Assist and coach peers. Demonstrate initiative through active and appropriate participation as well as the ability and willingness to assume more responsibilities.

12. Work closely with the Manager or Senior PM to perform project financial and resource management for their assigned project.

13. Provide project management support activities under the guidance of a Senior PM for large scale project (s) or program (s) that are defined as strategic or high visible projects.

14. Create Risk assessment and mitigation log under the direction of a Sr. PM or Manager for assigned projects.

15. Perform other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Bachelors degree or the equivalent, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant PM experience required and 4 years of IT experience. Special certification may be required PMP would be desirable. Demonstrated ability to work independently and on teams desired. Must be self-directed, flexible, and have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
