Job description

Johnson and Johnson Technology Services is seeking an SAP ERP S/4 Hana Applications Programming Manager to be based in Raritan, NJ.

The ERP Application Programming Manager is accountable for the BUILD of Application Development solutions for Supply Chain across various ERP platforms in North America. This position has full management responsibilities of all ERP Application development activities supporting multiple SAP multi-functional modules. The IT manager will also partner with other functional managers, technical architects, and consultants to assess new project initiatives, provide cost estimates & design guidance, select the right mix of resources for project assignment (ramp up/down), provide clear direction for governance, follow standard methodologies in application development and finally handle execution within the Agile execution framework.

This role collaborates with the Senior Manager, ERP Application Programming Services and this individual will also ensure that application development methodologies, processes are followed & security/compliance standards are adhered to. This role will also involve working with the Global Service Owner to come up with an S/4 Development strategy, which will be used across regions.

Service Execution

• Plan projects for development execution under Agile Framework.
• Involved in crafting scalable & reliable solutions
• Work scheduling and prioritizing, and offshore coordination.
• Act as a point of contact to coordinate dependencies with other teams.
• Ensure Compliance & Security standards are adhered to
• Strong conceptual, analytical, problem-solving, troubleshooting and resolution skills.
• Ability to monitor and handle the progress of tasks.

Interview and select resources (ramp up) as well as manage capacity according to the project demand (ramp down)

Collaboration & Domain Expertise

• Work with Global Service Owner & regional teams to come up with an S/4 development strategy
• Work across multiple Scrum Teams, Architecture and TS groups to define and deliver innovative development solutions
• Provide direction to other developers & mentor junior developers/leads
• Ensure alignment to development, security & compliance standards
• Accountable for code quality & technical documentation
• Accountable for communication across various scrum teams & groups
  
  

Single point of contact for Functional teams, vendor resources, and enterprise platform owners

• Innovation/Automation
• Build an environment for developing innovative solutions with a strong emphasis on automating work where possible
  
  

Identify repetitive steps to possibly partner with other teams to build automations

Qualifications

Business Experience: 10+ years of SAP Application Development Experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• Hands on development in SAP S/4 HANA across various modules required
• Experience in S/4 HANA implementations is highly preferred
• Experience in tools which contribute to automation(s) is an advantage
• Current knowledge of industry trends (especially Automation) and ability to apply that knowledge to application development design. Knowledge of enterprise architecture and development methodologies.
• Experience in process flows across the various SAP modules
  
  

Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

• (Include any preferred computer skills, certifications, licenses, languages, etc.)
• SAP ABAP (OO Programming Concepts, Enhancements, Interfaces, Reports, Forms)
• SAP S4 HANA (Extension strategy, CDS, AIF)
• Experience across various tools such as Solution Manager, JIRA & knowledge of CI/CD (Continuous Integration/Continuous Development) is an advantage. SAP Certifications & trainings are preferred
